Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports is inviting applications for the role of Senior Editor to join its distinguished Editorial Board for a three-year term.

 

About the Journal

 

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports is an Open Access publication focusing on providing a reputable, peer-reviewed publishing outlet for case reports, enabling practitioners in the fields of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism to communicate findings, share knowledge and convey medical experiences efficiently.

The journal brings together international and national endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism societies to collaborate in order to benefit those societies, their members and the community as a whole.

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports has achieved a Journal Impact FactorTM for 2023 of 0.7, making it one of the leading case reports publications dedicated to endocrinology and metabolism.

 

The Role of Senior Editor

 

As a Senior Editor, you would be responsible for overseeing the peer review of around 1-2 case reports a month. The role involves checking the suitability of submitted manuscripts within their subject area, selecting and arranging reviewers, and using peer reviewers’ reports along with your own assessment to make decision recommendations.

Alongside scientific quality, Senior Editors assess manuscripts based on clear learning points to inform and support readers’ medical education or clinical practice.

In doing so, you will provide critical editorial feedback that develops both author and journal, while also gaining insight into the process of editorial decision making.

As an ambassador for EDM Case Reports, you will promote within your specialism, further building your academic career and profile.

In this role you will play a vital part in helping shape the future of the journal, while upholding high editorial standards.

Experience Required

 

We encourage applications from clinicians and researchers who work within the fields of clinical endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Senior Editors should ideally have experience with peer review, with the ability to critically review case reports.

Previous journal editorial experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

Senior Editors receive a full waiver for the Article Publication Charge (APC) for one case report per year.
